Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream Releasing Worldwide in February 2022

Gust and Koei Tecmo have announced Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’ll release on February 24, 2022 in Japan, and February 25 in the rest of the world.

A limited edition will be available for $119.99, and it’ll come with the base game, official art book, soundtrack, fabric poster, a key chain, and a downloadable costume code – all packaged within a special box.

An official overview is as follows:

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream continues the story of Sophie and Plachta’s many adventures. After leaving Sophie’s hometown of Kirchen Bell, the pair discovers a huge tree identical to one that Plachta had seen in a dream, and as they get closer, a mysterious vortex pulls them inside.

Sophie awakens alone in a curious new world called Erde Wiege, and it’s not long before she hears about an alchemist named Plachta that lives on the outskirts of town. Shockingly, when Sophie arrives at the atelier, she meets a young alchemy enthusiast named Plachta, and even though the alchemist shares the same name as her friend, she doesn’t recognize Sophie.

Atelier Sophie 2 will feature a new visual style that fuses the art style of Mysterious subseries with the graphics and animation seen in Atelier Ryza 2.
