Chernobylite DLC Roadmap Plans Paid and Free Content Over the Next 14 Months


Chernobylite released today on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after a brief three-week delay. Now the game has released, players can look forward to another 14 months of post launch content. The plans include both free and premium content and it will arrive in six different drops starting with the first at the end of October.

Each of the six DLC drops will include a combination of new missions, monsters, weapons, and/or game modes. All will include free content although some will also include premium content that’s yet to be detailed. The first drop will arrive around Halloween this year and the final drop is aiming for Q4 2022. Here is the full schedule:

Monster Hunt – Halloween 2021

Ghost Town – Christmas 2021

  • New Map – Pripyat Residential

Blue Flames – Q1 2022

  • Memory of You: New Activities and Events
  • Silent Assassin: New Weapon
  • New Cosmetics
  • Premium Content Pack

Red Trees – Q2 2022

  • Ghost of the Past: New Story Missions
  • Cooling Towers: New Map and Side Missions
  • New Cosmetics
  • Premium Content Pack

Green Walls – Q3 2022

  • Gate of Madness: New Game Mode
  • Brute Force: New Weapon
  • New VR Map and Side Activity
  • Premium Content Pack

Black Smoke – Q4 2022

  • Farewell, My Doll: New Events
  • Brothers in Arms: New Game Mode
  • Extras
  • Premium Content Pack

As well as the DLC content, The Farm 51 is still working on new-gen versions of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Originally due to be released at the end of this year, publisher All in! Games has confirmed these versions have been delayed and are now scheduled for Q1 2022. For now the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will work on the newest consoles through backwards compatibility. There will be a free next-gen upgrade available for those who own Chernobylite on PS4 or Xbox One.
