Japanese Preorders of Elden Ring Include a Replica Spectral Steed Whistle

If you’re a fan of Elden Ring and are living in Japan, you’re in luck. With each pre-order of Elden Ring, Japanese online retailer Geo is giving away a scale replica of the game’s Spectral Steed Whistle as a pre-order bonus. The ring will also come with its own pouch featuring the Elden Ring logo.

The ring is a 1:1 scale metallic replica of the in-game item. The Spectral Steed Whistle is a key item that the player receives in Elden Ring. Players can use the key item to call the spectral steed Torrent to traverse the map.

Purchasing the scale replica whistle bundle will cost an extra 500 yen (about $5). Buyers can also bundle the ring with other bundles of Elden Ring, including the Collector’s Edition. While the Spectral Steed Whistle is listed as a Geo exclusive, this exclusivity only applies to Japan. In actuality, the Spectral Steed Whistle is also available as a pre-order bonus from North American GameStop stores. It’s unclear whether these two pre-order bonuses are the same model, but they do look pretty similar.

Elden Ring is the much-awaited release of Dark Souls and Bloodborne developer From Software. Game of Thrones series creator George R. R. Martin helped write the game’s story. Recently, Martin stated that believes video games are as big, if not bigger, than movies. Elden Ring will release for the PS4 and PS5, as well as Xbox consoles and PC on February 25, 2022.
