PS Plus January 2022 Free Games Can Be Downloaded Now

0

The PlayStation Plus free games for January 2022 are now available to download. All PS Plus members can now grab Deep Rock Galactic and DiRT 5 for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, while Persona 5 Strikers is available for PS4. Meanwhile, all players regardless of whether they have a PlayStation Plus membership or not can grab PSVR title Pirate Flight for free until the middle of the month.

How Long Have I Got to Download the Games?

All three titles will be available to download until January 31, the day before the next month’s titles arrive on February 1. Once claimed, all of the games will remain in your library as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

Co-op first-person shooter Deep Rock Galactic is newly launched on PS5 and PS4 today. Just the standard edition comes free in the PlayStation Plus Instant Games Collection, but there are also Deluxe and Ultimate Editions for sale that include weapon and outfit cosmetics, credits, crafting materials, and performance points. Those who grab the game through PS Plus can upgrade to these editions through the “Starter Pack” and “Ultimate Upgrade” respectively.

DiRT 5 and Persona 5 Strikers are the other two games to complete the selection, but all players can grab themselves a PSVR freebie even if they aren’t PlayStation Plus members. Pirate Flight VR is free on all PlayStation Stores until January 13. The casual flying game gives players 90 flying, racing and shooting missions to complete across three worlds.

In other news, EA has confirmed Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be added to EA Play later this week. Elsewhere, former Call of Duty developer Robert Bowling insists the COD franchise needs “revitalization” rather than the current strategy of annual releases, although Activision is unlikely to take heed.
