Users are unable to purchase any games unless they have prepaid cards, which are reportedly hard to find.PS Store down in Croatia due to currency changeThe issue stems from a currency change that the Croatian government announced well ahead of time.According to one ResetEra user, Croatia announced that it’ll be transitioning to Euro from Kuna in the beginning of 2022, giving companies ample time to implement changes. It has been smooth sailing, for the most part, but Sony has been unable to keep up.Apparently, Croatian users received an email informing them that PS Store purchases will be disabled temporarily two months ago, and were given free PS Plus Essential to compensate. However, there’s been no communication since then, and folks are having to purchase prepaid PSN cards, which some users claim are hard to find.The issue has become a serious headache for those with digital PS5 consoles and primacy accounts set in Croatia.Granted Croatia isn’t a huge market for Sony (they did get some cool PlayStation stamps, though), this is some pretty poor planning on the company’s part.
