PSVR 2 Showcase May Happen Soon as Sony’s Sending Out Promotional Emails

0

It looks like Sony might actually be gearing up for that rumored PSVR 2 showcase as the company’s been sending out promotional emails akin to those it sent out prior to the PS5’s pre-launch showcase. That’s according to trusty insider Tom Henderson, whose tweet was backed up by several followers who claimed to have received said email as well.

When should we expect the PSVR 2 showcase?

Last week, we heard reports that Sony was gearing up to make several “big” announcements in quick succession. One of them was Project Spartacus aka the new and improved PlayStation Plus, the second and third announcements were rumored to be a major acquisition and a PSVR 2 showcase. While we haven’t heard anything on the acquisition front, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan mentioned in an interview last week that Sony isn’t done acquiring studios so it’s only a matter of time before we hear something. As far as the PSVR 2 showcase is concerned, Greg Miller of Kinda Funny and VentureBeat journalist/insider Jeff Grubb have both heard rumblings of an event but there isn’t much else to go by at present other than Henderson’s tweet. However, from the looks of things, a PSVR 2 showcase seems likely within the next month.

We have yet to receive the aforementioned email but will keep our readers posted.

In other news, Abandoned dev claims to have reached out to Konami after those Silent Hill speculations got out of hand, and former BioWare GM thinks The Witcher 3 is a better game than Dragon Age: Inquisition.
