You’ll zip around five big wide-open islands that contain things like platforming challenges and puzzles. They also act as an overworld, letting you enter 3D and 2D levels that are more contained and linear, like traditional Sonic games. The designers call this “open zone,” rather than open-world.In addition to that, Sonic has a skill tree this time around that lets you dodge, parry, and counter enemy attacks.
