This Leica-like camera is made of paper and takes 16MP photos

Let’s get this out of the way first and foremost: this camera is a novelty and nothing more. Still, I want to shoot with it, if for no other reason than to say I did.

This ultra-thin Leica-inspired camera is constructed of some kind of paper card stock material with a small digital camera sandwiched between the two sides. According to the specifications list, the camera features a 16MP sensor capable of stills as well as 1080p video (up to 10 seconds in length) and timelapse videos.

The camera uses a fully automatic capture mode for both stills and video with automatic exposure and white balance. There’s even a built-in microSD card slot capable of supporting cards up to 32GB, as well as a Micro USB port for offloading photos and video from the camera. There’s only a single button that doubles as both the power and shutter button.

It’s unlikely the image quality will match even mid-range phones nowadays. But it’s not that often you can walk around with a credit card-sized camera and snap photos at will.

There’s no link for purchasing this paper Leica-like camera, but it’s said to retail for $99.
